Our macritchie experience
This surprise place that i had been hiding from kumo happen to be macritchie resavoir. I have thought that this was the ideal place for both of us to have an exposure to nature without even leaving singapore. So i decided to bring her to this place without her knowing it, until yesterday.
We met relatively early, somewhere around 11am. . Had lunch @ bbq chicken. Their food certainly tasted not as bad and its quite appetizing as well. Considering that it's just $7.90 nett, its seems to be money well spent.
Baby waiting for her food.
After lunch, we made our way down to macritchie resavoir. At first, kumo's facial expression seems to be telling me that she's not so interested and she thought that there's nothing there but only a resavoir. But she's wrong, at the end of the day, we hiked a total of 13km each, and the distance was covered within 3-4 hours. At least, we managed to reach our destination- hsbc treetop walk. And there is this super long flight of stairs after crossing over the 250m long, 25m high suspension bridge. I was on the verge of giving up while climbing up the stairs. Very challenging. We even made our way to the jelutong tower.
Along the way through the forest floor, we saw monkeys - lots of it ! There was a point where there were about 8 of them beside us, looking at us , as we walk beside them. Very adorable creatures. We saw a number of the malayan pangolin which feeds on ants only, and countless number of butterflies.
This is the bridge i was talking about.
After which, we headed over to the jelutong watching tower before we made our way back to the non-forested area.
Was so happy to see a few monkeys when we managed to get out of the nature reserve. Took a few snap shots of them.
Bused back home and both of us had a good sleep.
Thanks so making it such an unforgettable day. I treasure this moment as much as i treasure you. Baby, i mean it. Loves .
Encountering with nature.
Stress is pilling up with the time against me this time as im facing a hell load of shit this coming week. Im gonna sit for my poa and java pract test after just completed my dmid assignment . Thats the reason why im bringing my girlfriend out for some fresh air at somewhere so-not singapore. I did not told her where's the 'so-not sg' place , but i did mention to her about the 250m long treetop suspension bridge we are about to face tomoro. I guess she wouldnt figure out the exact location , just wait for tomoro alright.
I gonna try my best to spot a few animals and plants. Pitcher plant, venus fly trap, super big killer ants, wild frogs, birds , reptiles , monkeys and snakes tomorrow. Yeap . Singapore do have snakes and in fact , pythons do exist in wildlife singapore. They are up to a meter in length , feed in warm blooded animals and nocturnal. Cant imagine if i face 1 tomorrow. I think kumo sure roll herself into a ball and roll her way down along the forest floor.
There's a list of wild animals in singapore in this website - http://www.wildsingapore.per.sg/discovery/animalaz.htm
My mind is itching for my encounter with nature tomorrow.

Yes , this is the one im looking forward to. 250m long bridge.
Hopefully , kumomo is up for this harsh challenge and i hope the weather will do us a big favour . It gonna be 11km of walking tomorrow, wahhhoooo !
Looking forward :D
Better wake up on time ah , chai liyun. Gonna bomb your hp with lots of call tmr morning. Misses baby <3
And yeah ! The deal is finally back :D

Shall go sleep now and look forward for a wonderful time with kumomo.
Resort World
Universal studio theme park - http://www.rwsentosa.com/USS_map_Eng/en_map-uss.html
Singapore's only movie-theme park features 24 rides and attractions, including a pair of dueling coasters that brush past one another in several near misses in their aerial combat. Thrill-seekers can choose between a coaster where they are seated or the other where riders are suspended. Exciting loops, sudden turns, breathtaking drops and thrilling near-collisions will make you scream your heart out. Dinosaurs, lemurs, ogres and Egyptian mummies add to the thrills and adventures.
Marine Life Park- set to be the world's largest oceanarium, with 700,000 fishes in 20 million gallons of water.
Maritime Xperiential Museum - an innovative, multi-sensory interpretation of one of the most glorious periods in Asian history.
The museum's centerpiece is a huge 360-degree multimedia theatre, where visitors "board" an Arabia-bound sailing ship docked near Singapore 1,100 years ago. Laden with cargo, the ship runs into a storm. The sea roars, the skies darken and the ship rolls, pitches and turns. Lights dim as the vessel sinks, with "passengers" also experiencing that sinking feeling as the theatre floor descends. When the lights finally come on, the ship's passengers find themselves in the depths of the ocean, up close with the shipwreck and magnificent marine life.
Equarius Water Park - one of the world's most exciting water theme parks
|
The highlight at Equarius Water Park, the water theme park at Resorts World at Sentosa, is the "Water coaster" - a thrilling water slide that takes thrill-seekers on a wet and wild ride through tree tops and jungle greenery; "Snakes and Ladders" where water cannons defy gravity and a surf pool that offers a variety of wave types for novice and serious surfers. Visitors who prefer to stay dry can explore a tree-top adventure course of walkways, rope bridges and jungle pavilions beneath the verdant forest.

The perfect venue to dine, shop, club hop and have a smashing good time, FestiveWalk captures the buzz of The Strip - the world-famous street in Las Vegas. The place to see and be seen, FestiveWalk never sleeps, keeping resort guests company all day and night.
Le Vie - a theatrical production that captures the story of life, love, struggle and triumph.
Le Vie, the resident theatre show of Resorts World at Sentosa, is an epic delivered through powerful music, dazzling stage sets and splendid costumes. The musical acrobatic show is a story of one boy's journey to manhood as he discovers morality, sacrifice, and love.

2010 - A new start
A series of events happened recently , and most remarkably was couting down with kumo and friends at vivo on new year eve. Other than that , most of my time spent were at home with kumo either working on our assignments or literally rotting away.
Year 2010 , a new decade , and a brand new start. And the good thing is that world cup is just 6 months away =D Soccer fanatics like me had been waiting for 3.5 yrs since italy last won the historic competition. This year will be the year that spain will be crown world champs.
Anw , random stuffs here .
Pictures taken on the last day of 2009.

Hope 2010 will be a better year for everyone :)
